Food is not provided during the flight because it can be a choking hazard, and large amounts of food may make your pet feel uncomfortable in its crate. (what goes in will eventually want to come out….) However, please prepare a portion of your pet’s food in a separate plastic bag. Suresh will attach this bag to the outside of the crate at pick-up time, and the airline will provide this food to the pet in the transit country (if any) during the layover. Airline ground handling officials in Bangkok will provide water there as well.
As soon as the flight lands in Colombo, our import clearance supervisor will fill up the water bowl attached to the travel crate so Violet will not be dehydrated at any point of time. The idea is to keep the pet hydrated at all times, without providing too much of water. (otherwise pet will urinate inside the travel crate which will create a stressful situation for the pet)
