Microchipping & Identification

Many countries require pets to be permanently identified with an ISO 11784/11785 compliant 15-digit microchip before international travel.

At Pet Express, we provide internationally accepted microchip implantation, verify scanner compatibility, and ensure the microchip number is accurately recorded on all vaccination records, laboratory reports, health certificates, and travel documentation.

If your pet already has a non-ISO compliant microchip, we will advise whether re-microchipping or an alternative solution is required based on your destination country's import regulations.

Rabies Antibody Titre Test (RNATT)

The Rabies Neutralising Antibody Titre Test (RNATT), also known as the Rabies Titre Test or Rabies Serology Test, is a mandatory requirement for pets travelling to many countries, including the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and several other destinations.

The test measures your pet's rabies antibody level and confirms that it meets the internationally accepted minimum requirement of 0.5 IU/ml.

Through our trusted veterinary partners, we will:

  • Arrange blood sample collection at one of our veterinary clinics or through our mobile veterinary service at your home.
  • Process and prepare the serum sample for international shipment.
  • Submit the sample to an approved laboratory recognised by your destination country's veterinary authorities, ensuring full compliance with the applicable import requirements.
  • Monitor the testing process and provide the official laboratory results as soon as they become available.

Our experienced team will also advise you on the correct timing for the blood test, as many countries require mandatory waiting periods after the blood sample is collected before your pet becomes eligible to travel.

Whether your pet is travelling to Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, or another destination requiring RNATT testing, we will guide you through every step of the process and ensure all laboratory and documentation requirements are met.
